What I See When I Look At You

Building Projection

2000

Outdoor video projection commissioned and presented by the University of Michigan Museum of Art.

What I See When I Look At You is a project combining 18th and 19th century American portraits with video portraits collected from the staff, faculty and students at the University of Michigan. The portraits were computer processed and the resultant fifteen-minute video was projected onto the north facade of the museum for one week. The project was re-presented at the opening of the Museum renovation in 2009.
